Look of the Week

This week, the illustrated Look of the Week shows how to dress between seasons. It is not warm enough to go coatless, but too chilly to wear a T shirt. All of the above are key wardrobe pieces for a transitional wardrobe and are investment pieces that can be worn all year round. The above image has been brilliantly illustrated by awesome Mr Liyu Hsu, who has created some great works of art for The Rakish Gent. I am incredibly grateful for the above image, as well as the other posts he has done for this site.

As stated above, the look styled by me, is made up of great, all year round wardrobe essentials. The Burberry trench is a sartorial classic and looks smart whether dressed up with a suit or down with denim. This beautiful coat is currently available at Mr Porter. Under the coat is a simple, grey cotton Henley from H&M and a great pair of Edwin jeans, from Coggles.com which houses a great selection of designers. No outfit would be complete without a great pair of shoes and I am madly in love with these glosses patent upper brogues from Vivienne Westwood at Asos

You can find out more about Liyu and his work as a designer on his website Liyu Hsu
