Street Style

I am thrilled to be able to bring some street style images to The Rakish Gent once again. These images have been taken by the brilliant Noemie Gombe-Kette, aged 23. Born in Africa,. raised in France, she currently resides in Birmingham where she is studying media production and photography. I came across some of the street style pictures that she had taken elsewhere and was really impressed with how natural and stylish her subjects are in front of the camera. Next year, Noemie is embarking on a course studying magazine journalism which will bring her one step closer, to her dream to create a Vogue for the African-American woman. Having met Noemie and seen her drive, determination and style, I have no doubt that she will go far, and feel very privileged to be able to feature her work on this site.

I look forward to working with Noemie again soon. Here are some of the rakish gents that she snapped on the streets of Paris and how to get the look:

Jimmy

I love the statement trainers worn by Jimmy in the image above. Statement sneakers are still really big and are all over the catwalk and high street. Shop statement sneakers from Valentino at Mr Porter and River Island

Kevin

The beanie that Kevin is wearing in the above image is perfect for those days when your hair looks a mess, and there is a chill in the air. Asos have a huge selection of great tiny beanies.

Ange

Noemie has captured a man well on trend. Varsity jackets and bombers are huge and Ange is wearing both trends together. Shop the trends at Topman, and Marc by Marc Jacobs, available at Matches Fashion

Arnaud

Again, Arnaud is wearing two key trends at once. The jumper that he is wearing has a waffle knit texture to it and I love the statement Ipad case. Shop statement cases, like the Givenchy one shown below, at Matches Fashion

A huge thanks to Noemie, for taking the time out of her vacation to take these street style images in Paris, the chicest city in the world. You can follow Noemie on Instagram, and on her ace blog That African Girl
