For the September issue, GQ interview and photograph cover stars One Direction, with 5 separate covers of each member. It is a surprising choice for the mens magazine but one that will no doubt give them huge sales. Interviewed by features editor Jonathan Heaf, it is a revealing insight into life on the road for the global sensations. The accompanying images, styled by Luke Day and shot by Platon show a more stoic and stylish grown up image of the band than we are used to. It is an editorially strong issue with articles from Micheal Wolff on the art world inhabited by the super rich and Robert Johnston on the redevelopment of London's Victoria district as well as a powerful piece by James Montague on the Egyptian revolution.
Elsewhere in the issue, there is a brilliant feature on the front row and parties of London Collections: Men (with a great insight editorial letter from Dylan Jones) and a superb photo story on Autumn/ Winter trends with models including Isaac Carew and Isaac Ekblad. The images, styled by Jo Levin and snapped by Kim Tony are fantastic previews into the looks that will be hitting stores any day now.
