The rakish fellow you met last night with the suave dance moves, smoothly rehearsed lines, and your number listed as “Goddess #14” in his phone is fine for a flirt, but probably isn’t meet-the-parents material. Used as an adjective to describe a dashing ladies’ man or a streamlined ship, rakish comes from the fusing of rake + -ish. He is stylishly handsome and prone to saucy, fast behavior. Synonyms include charming, flashy, and immoral.

News - Isabel Marant for H&M
H&M has developed a reputation for its annual designer collaborations. Often instant sell outs, and the victim of e-bay price wars, the likes of Viktor & Rolf, Lanvin, Versace, Stella McCartney and most recently Margiela, have allowed shops a taste of the high life at reasonable prices This year the high street colossus has picked surprise label Isabel Marant for its collaboration. Known for its chic French cigarette pants, smock blouses and kitten heels seen on the likes of Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, this collection features the brand's first foray into menswear. Whilst one respects the masculine tailoring that the label does so well for its female customers, the fact that they have never designed menswear is a clear message that womenswear is the key market here and the mens collection is an afterthought. In terms of what to expect, it is likely to feature slim suits in luxury fabrics, tailored shirts and some wearable most likely unisex accessories.
Isabel Marant for H&M launches in November 2013
