Silver screen style icon - Mr Dickie Greenleaf

The Talented Mr Ripley (1999) is one of the most stylish movies ever. The whole movie, with its location and characters is full of great style but it is the character of Dickie Greenleaf, played sublimely by Jude Law epitomises the rakish gent.

Dickie is a spoilt millionaire. Engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow, he has thrown off the shackles of his father and the US, and escaped to the South of Italy where he lives off his fathers money, plays jazz and womanises.

The wardrobe of the character played by Jude Law captures his character perfectly. It is carefree but luxurious, worn in the way that most great clothes should be worn, as if just thrown on. Chinos are relaxed and turned up. Shirts are slim fitting, light and come in great colours and prints. The gold signet ring tops the look off perfectly.

If you are escaping to warmer climes over the next few months, it is a fantastic and easy to wear holiday style. Crisp white shirts, a great pair of white pumps worn with chinos, a navy blazer, with hat and little accessories and there you have it. Shop the below items to get the Dickie Greenleaf look:
