Shop - Show Off Gallery

Show Off Gallery are a new T shirt brand that focus on creating hand made tailored T shirts. Their new range, which is available to purchase on their website now, is brilliant.

Hip hop has done as much for fashion as it has for music. Artists like ASAP Rocky, Kanye West and Tinie Tempah have had an undeniable effect on fashion, which has extended to them now dictating trends as opposed to merely following them.

A number of designs in the new collection are inspired by the cover work of albums by some of hip-hop's finest. The below look, is based on the cover of Jay Z's last album Magna Carta Holy Grail:

The incredible Watch The Throne cover is also one of the designs:

Show Off Gallery also have a great selection of their own designs and prints. All of the pieces are priced at £40.00 which is incredibly reasonable for a T shirt made of 100% cotton and featuring a complete print. They also offer free worldwide shopping.

These T shirts are made for a night out. They look fantastic with jeans and do all of the talking. They are statement items that will stand out and the cool, fresh designs feel of the moment. Shop my picks of the collection:

Area Culture Guide - September 2013

I recently had an article published in the Midlands Area Culture Magazine. The September issue is aimed at students new to the city and is packed with information on where to go and what to do. If you can grab a printed copy, great, if not, it can be read online at Area Culture Guide - September 2013

My article for the magazine is called Menswear In The City and names A Too Menswear, The Liquor Store, Urban Village and The Candy Store as the best independent retailers of menswear in the city.

Shop - Boutonniere London

The Rakish Gent is all about the accessories. The right tie pin, pocket square, watch or neck tie can make or break a look. Mr Christoper Harrap of new brand Boutonniere London clearly understands this and has developed a new collection of beautiful boutonnieres.

Asking himself why men today no longer wear a flower on their lapel, especially since most suits have a buttonhole for this purpose, he began work on his own design of boutonnieres earlier this year.

Each product is handmade in Italy by a family of artisans, using the finest quality porcelain. Each petal is beautifully realised and developed into a flower, mated to a clasp of unique design, which will sturdily attach to your lapel without damaging your suit. A lovely finishing touch is the engraving service to the back of the clasp, which adds a real personal touch.

Boutonniere London is a celebration of all things British - the clasps and smart presentation boxes are all made in Sheffield, and each product is finally assembled in London. This wonderful collection is a  new and elegant welcome addition to the men's accessories market.

Prices range from £59.00 for the Stainless Steel design to £175.00 for the Sterling Silver collection.

Contribution to Brum Notes - Get the Peaky Blinders look

I recently had the honour of writing an article for Birmingham based magazine Brum Notes. The subject of my piece was how to get the style of Cillian Murphy and his gang in the new BBC drama Peaky Blinders which is based in the city.

It is an easy look to get and one that is pretty smart and nifty. Much of the pieces are from high street stores like Topman and Reiss.

Shop - Awake and Dressed

Awake and Dressed is a new and exciting T shirt label. Designed by Mr Jonny Wolf and currently trading via their own website, these are a range of T shirts that are meticulously detailed and based on stark and graphic prints.

All items are 100% cotton, so they are incredibly soft. The dart neckline is a versatile and wearable design for men of all shapes. Furthermore, each garment is signed by the designer on the bottom right of the T shirt and the direct to garment print guarantees no fading or cracking, which is a common trend with T shirts such as these when you buy them on the high street.

These T shirts are creative, interesting and artistic. They will stand out when you wear them with a pair of jeans or chinos. The men's T shirt market is a growing one, but there is always room for a new label that is doing something different and producing products of such high quality. The website also offers free delivery.

Below are a  look at my pick of my favorite of the current designs:

The Last Job T shirt and The Live Fast Love Slow T shirt (both £24.99)

Rockstar T shirt and Negative Mask T shirt (both £24.99)
